What will they think of next!
A friend sent me this email and
I am sending it on to my Friends.

Wednesday, I approached my truck from the passenger side
To place my computer bag (aka my man purse) in the
Front passenger seat.

As I reached to open the door I noticed there was a hole
right under my door handle. My first thought was, "someone
has shot my truck !" I began to think about it and inspect it a
little closer and the "light" slowly began to come on.

I phoned my friend who owns a body shop and asked if he
had any vehicles with damage to the doors that
looked like a bullet hole.

"Yes, I see it all the time. Thieves have a punch and
Place it right under the door handle, knock a hole through,
reach in and unlock it, just as if they have a key.

No alarms, broken glass or anything.

I then placed a call to my insurance agent and
Explained it to him I was puzzled that they left my GPS
And all other belongings. Here is where it gets scary !

"Oh no, he said, they want the break-in to be so subtle
That you don't even realize it.

They look at your GPS to see where "home" is.

Now they know what you drive, go to your home, and
If your vehicle isn't there they assume you aren't and
Break in your home."

He says they will even leave a purse or wallet and only
Take one or two credit cards.

By the time you realize there has been a theft,
They may have already had a couple days
Or more to use them.

I didn't realize my situation for two full days!
They even give you the courtesy of re-locking
Your doors for you.

Periodically walk around your car, daily if you are
In a shopping center or other parking area.

Report thefts immediately....
Your bank w/missing check numbers,
Your credit card agencies, police,
And insurance companies, etc.

71 Plymouth "Frankencuda" from "Fast Five" Sells For $308,000
Posted By Chris Demorro On February 24, 2011 (6:30 am) In News

If youre a car guy, chances are youve subjected yourself to The Fast and the Furious series of films. These movies have always been more about fast cars, and less about plot, characters, or the basic laws of physics. Say what you will about the movies though; theyve given us some of the most intense car-on-car action of any movie in recent memory, and of course, there is yet another sequel on the horizon, the fifth in the franchise called simply Fast Five.

One of the automotive stars of this upcoming sequel is this 71 Plymouth Barracuda which you might already recognize as Frankencuda. The brainchild of car designer Murray Pfaff of Pfaff Designs and custom Mopar builder Troy Brumbalow, good ol Frankie has been the show car for Mothers, Holley and K&N Filters at this past 2010 SEMA show. Oh yeah, it also won the Dyno Challenge on Power Tour.

And how did it do that? The engine is an all-aluminum 636 HEMI that is force-fed via a 14:71 blower and Ultra Dominator carburetors which blow all that air through a intercooler. Of course, this blown 636 HEMI can drive on pump gas while enjoying the cool breeze thanks to Vintage air conditioning.

Built on an Art Morrison G Force chassis, Frankie rolls on wheel-wheel Wilwood power disc brakes and Budnik wheels, making it -surprisingly- a nimble Pro-touring car with tons of horsepower.

The rest of the good stuff includes a turbo 400 transmission with a Gear Vendor overdrive backed by a Strange 9-inch Ford rear with a Detroit Locker. Inside is a Flaming River tilt column and wheel, leather seats with snakeskin inserts and 5-point harnesses, a custom dash with three LCD screens, Mopar Performance gauges and the aforementioned Vintage Air A/C.

Frankencuda was recently signed by all the stars of the next Fast and Furious movie including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne The Rock Johnson and others.

Were happy to see more muscle cars in this line of movies, and yet were a little worried that by the end of the movie, which debuts in April, this Barracuda might not survive its time on film. After all, these movies have a bad habit of destroying awesome automobiles. If you want to see more pictures of this car, head over to the Barrett-Jackson auction listing where it claimed $308,000!

Tips on buying GAS

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up;most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. 3/6/11

My question is if these companies are getting the oil from USA then why are the prices the same as the Middle East distributors??? FJMWHERE TOBUYAMERICANGASOLINE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON.

Are you aware that the Saudis are boycotting American products? In addition, they are gouging us on oil prices.
Shouldn't we return the favor? Can't we take control of our own destiny and let these giant oil importers know who REALLY generates their profits, their livings? How about leaving American Dollars inAmerica and reduce the import/export deficit?
An appealing remedy might be to boycotttheirGAS. Every time you fill up your car you can avoid putting more money into the coffers ofSaudi Arabia . Just purchase gas from companies thatdon't import their oil from the Saudis..
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill up my tank, I'm sending my money to people who I get the impression want me, my family and my friends dead.

The following gas companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell....................................... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco..................... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil........................... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway............... 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco.................................... 62,231,000 barrels
And CITGO oil is imported from Venezuela by Dictator Hugo Chavez whohatesAmerica and openly avows our economic destruction!(We pay Chavez's regime nearly $10 Billion per year in oil revenues!)

The U.S. currently imports 5,517,000 barrels of crude oil per day from OPEC. If you do the math at $100 per barrel, that's over $550 millionPER DAY($200 BILLION per year!) handed over to OPEC, many of whose members are our confirmed enemies!!!!! It won't stop here - oil prices could go to $200 a barrel or higher if we keep buying their product.

Here are some large companiesthat do notimport Middle Eastern oil:Error! Filename not specified.
Sunoco......................0 barrels
Conoco.. ..................0 barrels
ASinclair..................0 barrels
BP / Phillips............ 0 barrels

Hess..........................0 barrels
ARC0........................0 barrels
Maverick..................0 barrels

Flying J....................0 barrels
Valero.......................0 barrels
Murphy Oil USA*.....0 barrels

*Sold atWalMART>, gas is from South Arkansas andfullyUSA owned and produced.
*Not only that but they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens..

All of this information is available from the U.S. Department of Energy and each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. 3/5/11

Received this in an Email and felt the poeple needed to Know the truth!
Hello to my friends, most of you are car people.
Wanted to pass on something that really gets me going. If you are a Chrysler person and read Mopar Collectors Guide you may have seen this. If not then you probably didn't see or hear about this.
That is why I scanned these three pages and are sending them along.
Any of you have a problem yet with Ethonol? Got an older car or truck? If so then you probably will.
I have had my doubts about global warming and good old Al Gore.
Why do so many people believe him? Read the attached and then start to think of all the changes we as American's have had to put up with because of ethonol and re-think global warming too.
If you have any elected officials e-mails please forward these attachment pages.
What a nut cases we have to deal with in our government, and what they can do just for votes.

2/29/11I got these in an Email and think they are great!
